Students Made Free Palestine Signs in Support of Gaza, Fall 2023

Join us at Masjid Maryam for our Spring Weekend Academy, building on the success of the last year. Our program provides a comprehensive Islamic education experience in a supportive environment.

  • Dates: August 18th to December 1st, 2024
  • Time: Sundays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Location: Masjid Maryam

Expected Student Outcome:

By the end of the Saturday Academy program, students will:
  • Have a basic understanding of Islamic beliefs, practices, and values.
  • Be able to recite and understand selected surahs from the Quran.
  • Demonstrate good character and conduct based on Islamic teachings.
  • Possess knowledge of the lives of Prophets and figures in Islamic history.
  • Display a sense of community involvement and social responsibility.

Fees:

  • $45/month per student
  • For families with two or more kids the fee is capped at $90 per month.
  • Financial assistance is available, please submit requests to info@smiec.org.
  • Cancellation requires a written request to info@smiec.org.

Sunday School Schedule:

The Weekend Academy spring classes will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Sunday, February 18th to May 19th, 2024. The schedule includes the following:

  • 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Islamic Studies
  • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Arabic Language
  • 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Lunch Break  & Recess
  • 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm: Quran
  • 1:45 pm – 2 pm: Dhuhr Prayer
